The whole prepress system of the Modena printing house uses production PDF files in the workflow system based on the PuzzleFlow software.

Things to Remember
• files should go through the CMYK profile relevant for the paper on which the project is to be printed (RGB files are unsuitable for further processing)
• please DO NOT enclose colour profiles to files
• production PDF files should not include transparency (PDF 1.3 or PDF-X 2001)
• if a project contains a cutting die, it should be placed in the same file as a separate colour, with a set overprint
• set relevant slopes (typically 3 mm or other, upon arrangement with the person in charge of your order) - in the form of the so-called trimbox. The imposition system has to see the net and gross size. Adding size brands is not necessary, but they do not hinder the creation of imposition.
• multi-page projects intended for imposition should contain pages in the sequence to be found in the final project, placed in a SINGLE file.
• DO not prepare sections or foldouts yourself
• before sending files, check texts, image positioning, versions, etc. so that you do not need to send files again
